It's wild how much credit repair and building have evolved in just a few years. What used to be filled with sketchy "fix your credit fast" companies is now being taken over by legit fintech startups that actually use tech to help people build healthy credit habits.

A few interesting ones I've come across:
  • Self - credit-builder loans that report to all 3 bureaus
  • Brigit - combines budgeting tools with small cash advances to help manage spending and avoid overdrafts
  • Grow Credit - lets you build credit just by paying for your regular subscriptions (like Netflix or Spotify)
It feels like these apps are making credit building more transparent and accessible - especially for people who don't have perfect credit to start with.
Which fintech startup do you think is really redefining how consumers manage or rebuild credit? Have you tried any of these yourself?

Yeah, it's honestly such a game-changer compared to how credit repair used to work. I've tried Self before, and it was actually a great way to build consistency without feeling overwhelmed. I've also heard good things about Grow Credit, the idea of building credit just by paying for stuff you already use is genius. It feels like these newer apps actually want people to succeed, not just make money off fees. I'm curious if any of these will eventually expand into full-on financial wellness platforms.

I've actually tried Self and Grow Credit, and they've made a huge difference for me. Self was great when I was starting to rebuild my credit, it kind of ofrces you to save while improving your score, which I really liked. Grow Credit is super easy to use too; I was surprised that just paying for my usual subscriptions could help my credit. I've also been hearing good things about Kikoff, seems like another solid option for small, consistent credit boosts without big risks.

Yeah, I've used Self before. it raelly helped me stay consistent and slowly boost my score. I've also heard great things about Grow Credit-building credit from bills you already pay is smart. It's nice to see apps like Brigit and Kikoff making credit management feel less intimidating and more about healthy habits.
