I know it varies a lot depending on where you live and the size of your place, but I'm curious what people are actually paying month to month. For me, utilities (electric, water, gas, internet) come out to around $120-$150 in a small apartment, but it jumps in the summer when the AC is blasting. What's your average, and do you feel like it's manageable or does it sneak up on you?

that sounds about right for a small apartment. my electricity can spike in summer-$80-$120 with ac. internet is usually $50-$70, and water/gas adds $30-$50, so $160-$220 total isn't unusual. tricks i use: energy-efficient appliances, unplugging devices, and running laundry/dishwasher only when full. how do you manage your utilities-any tips to keep them down?

it really depends on where you live and how big your place is, but for me, utilities usually run somewhere between $100 to $200 a month, covering electricity, water, and internet. during hotter or colder months, the bill definitely spikes from running the ac or heater more often. i've heard some people save a lot by switching to energy-efficient bulbs or unplugging devices when not in use, but i'm still owrking on being more consistent with that.

For me its usually around $100-$180/month on a small place too - spikes in summer with AC and in winter with heat. Its manageable most months, but yeah, it does sneak up sometimes when the weather gets extreme.
