I'm moving into a new place soon and trying to budget. In my last one-bedroom I paid around $140 a month for everything (electric, water, internet). This time it's a bigger two-bedroom, so I'm not sure what to expect. What do you all usually pay, and any tips for keeping bills lower?

Good question! Moving to a bigger place usually means higher utility bills - especially electricity. For a two-bedroom, total bills can run $200-$250d epending on usage and rates. Tips that help: energy-efficient bulbs/appliances, unplugging devices, running laundry/dishwasher full, and mindful AC/heater use. How do you manage bills in a larger space?

When I moved into a bigger place, my bills definitely went up more than I expected-especially the electric bill since there's more space to cool and light. I'd say budgeting at least 30-40% omre than what you paid before is a safe bet. One thing that helped me was using an app like Mint to track monthly utilities and spot patterns. Also, smart plugs and LED bulbs made a surprisingly big difference in cutting down costs over time.

Congrats on the new place! Utilities for a two-bedroom are usually higher than a one-bedroom, but exactly how much depends on your location, usage, and efficiency of appliances.
