How much do you usually spend while job hunting?

Honestly, I didn't realize how expensive job hunting can get until I started adding everything up; printing resumes, new clothes for interviews, transportation, even small stuff like coffee meetups or LinkedIn Premium. It really adds up fast. I've started tracking mine in Notion to get a clearer picture, and it's kind of eye-opening. Do you guys actually budget for your job search, or do you just treat it as a one-time splurge until you land something?

Oh, I totally get that! I didn't realize either until I started keeping track-between new outfits, coffee chats, and transportation, it sneaks up on you. I actually started using a simple budgeting app to log all my job-hunting expenses, and it's been super helpful to see where my money's going. Makes me way more conscious about what's really necessary versus just "nice to have."

Totally agree. Job hunting gets pricey fast. Between rides, interview clothes, and all those small costs like coffee meetups, it really adds up. I started tracking mine in Notion just to see where my money was going. Do you gyus actually budget for it, or just adjust as you go?

I dont make a formal budget, but I do set a rough cap for myself so I dont go overboard. Mostly I try to reuse what I can (old interview clothes, free resume templates, etc.) and only spend on stuff that actually moves the needle. Things like LinkedIn Premium I only activate if Im actively interviewing.
