I already get free credit reports and alerts from Credit Karma and Experian, but I keep getting upsell offers for premium credit monitoring or identity protection.

Has anyone here actually found the paid version worth it? Or are the free tools good enough for most people?

I've been wondering the same thing. Personally, I've stuck with the free credit monitoring from Credit Karma and Experian, and it's been enough to keep an eye on any major changes. The paid plans usually add things like identity theft insurance, dark web monitoring, or faster alerts-but unless you've hda fraud issues or want extra peace of mind, I'm not sure it's worth the cost. Has anyone here actually noticed a real benefit from upgrading, or do the free tools cover most of what you need?

I've stuck with the free versions of Credit Karma and Experian for a while, and honestly, they've covered most of what I need-alerts, score updates, and bsaic monitoring. I tried a premium plan once out of curiosity, and while it gave more detailed reports and dark web alerts, I didn't find it essential unless you've had identity issues before. These days, I use something like Aura for broader protection, but for most people, the free tools are probably enough if you just stay on top of your alerts.
