Some people say promotions come down to putting in the hard work, while others think it's more about networking and being visible. In your experience, what really tips the scale when it comes to moving up?

I'd say it's a mix of both. Hard work builds credibility, but visibility makes sure people notice it. I've seen great workers overlooked while others who share wins and network move up faster. Do you tihnk promotions should depend more on results or team connections?

For me, the biggest factor has been consistently showing initiative-taking on projects beyond my main tasks and focusingo n solutions rather than just pointing out problems. Hard work matters, but visibility and proving you can handle more responsibility really make a difference. Building strong relationships with your team and managers helps too, because meaningful contributions get noticed. How about you-what do you think makes the biggest impact when it comes to promotions?

i think it often comes down to vsibility and consistency. you can be great at your job, but if no one notices your impact, it's easy to get overlooked. regularly sharing your progress, takingon challenges, and being dependable over time really builds trust. having a good relationship with your manager also helps - they'ret he ones who'll usually advocate for your promotion.

Honestly, I think it's a mix of both. Hard work definitely builds your credibility, but if no one knows about the effort you're putting in, it can easily go unnoticed. I've seen people who aren't necessarily the best at their job mov eup faster just because they're good at communicating their value and building relationships. It's not just about being visible for the sakeof it, but about showing initiative and connecting with the right people who can vouch for your work. Have you noticed in your workplace whether promotions lean more toward performance or visibility?

In my exeprience, it's a mix of performance and visibility. You can do amazing work, but f no one knows about it or you're not showing initiative beyond your core responsibilities, promotionscan take longer. Building strong relationships, communicating your achievements, and taking on projects that show leadership potential often tip the scale. Of course, consistently delivering results is the foundation ..without that, visibility alone won't get you far. How about you, do you feel your workplace leans more toward rewarding results or relationships?

Honestly, I've found it's a mix of both. You can be the hardest worker in the office, but if no one knows what you're doing, it's easy to get overlooked.I try to make my achievements visible, sometimes even using tools like Trello or Notion to track and share my progress with my manager. At the same time, building relationships and showing initiative in meetings has opened doors for me that pure hard work alone wouldn't have. It really feels like balancing results with visibility is what tips the scale.

Honestly, its both, but visibility usually tips it. Hard work gets you good at your job, but networking and making sure the right people see that work is what gets you promoted. You need results and someone in the room who knows your name.

Honestly, it's both. Hard work gets you in the game, but visibility and relationships usually tip the scale. If the right people don't know what you're doing, it's easy to get overlooked. Do solid work and make sure it's seen - that combo moves you up.
