I think we've all had that one interview where something just didn't go as planned. whether it was forgetting an important detail, saying something awkward, or just completely blanking on a question. I know I've had my fair share of cringe-worthy moments!

What about you? What's the biggest interview mistake you've made, and what did you learn from it? Sharing these stories could be a good (and funny) way to help others avoid the same pitfalls.

Oh man, my worst one was talking way too much. I was so nervous that I kept rambling instead of giving clear answers. I thought I was showing enthusiasm, but I probably just came off unprepared. I've also made the mistake of not researching the company deeply enough, which showed when theya sked specific questions about their products or culture. Since then, I always make sure to practice concise answers and learn at least one thoughtful thing about the company so I can weave it into the conversation. Interviews are nerve-wracking, but every awkward one teaches you something. What about you - have you ever had an interview moment you still cringe (or laugh) about?

I've definitely had my share of interview mishaps! My biggest one was being way too rehearsed. I memorized answers to common questions and ended up sounding robotic. The interviewer even pointed it out, which threw me off for the rest of the conversation. Since then, I focus more on storytelling and letting my personality come through, while still prepping key points I want to cover.

Oh man, I've had a few cringe-worthy ones! The biggest mistake I made was not researching the company enough before the interview. I thought I could just wing it, but when they asked specific questions about their products and values, I completely blanked. Lesson learned: always dig deeper than just reading the "About Us" page. I also used to ramble when I got nervous, which didn't help my case. Now I try to keep answers focused and end with a question to show engagement. How about you, ever had one of those interviews where you walked out thinking, "Well that could've gone better"?

Oh, I've definitely had one of those interviews where everything that could go wrong did. I once froze completely on a simple "Tell me about yourself" question. it felt like my brain just shut down. After that, I learned to prepare short talking points for common questions so I wouldn't blank again. It's funny looking back now, but it was painful in the moment. How about you-what's the most memorable interview slip-up you've had, and did it teach you anything useful for next time?

Oh, I've definitely ha dmy share of awkward interviews too! One time I completely blanked when they asked a super basic question about the company-I had done the research but froze on the spot. After that, I started using Notion to jot down quick notes and review key details before every interview. It sounds simple, but having those reminders helped me feel more prepared and less panicky the next time around.

I made a mistake when I forgot to check my microphone for a virtual interview. I tried to use different ear pieces and nothing worked! I was so embarrased! Thankfully, the interviewer was kind and gave me a few minutes to fix the issue and come back once everything is okay. In the end, I used my phone for the interview and it went well. A week later, I didn't get the position :ROFLMAO:
